Hello world! First off, I want to offer my apologies for missing next week. If you found yourself deeply saddened and unknowing if you are able to go on anymore with life here I come to the rescue and you need to get a hobby. OK! now that's taken care of, let's get down to business. These past two weeks have been quite busy whipping these old bones into shape of riding everyday and used to the cumulative workload. Put up 10 hrs and 11 hrs these last several moons. Today is a much needed rest day before I put up 12 hrs. I am ultimately shooting toward 15hrs/wk on the bike while still trying to balance work, life, chores (that falls into the life category), cats, and riding. Telling you I want to race my bike, train my brains out, win races and not have anymore unlucky accidents doesn't begin to describe how much fervor there is behind my motivation (woah! This guy can use big words too).
The core program is onto level 1:4 - increasing endurance and duration till the point of exhaustion (it hurts like hell sometimes). We have re-arranged our living room to make permanent space for two trainers with a couch in the middle for recovery. Since our place is umm...cozy... we've pushed the dining room table aside to make space for our core workouts and evening date night with the foam roller. Lauren and I have been riding together in the evening, it helps tremendously to do an hour on the trainer with someone suffering right next to you. I'm sure our neighbors think we're nuts but that's just fine with me (wait until I start taking my cat for walks).
Well folks, that's about all for now. Head down, still training no matter what the weather, still keeping on track and motivated for what's to come. Check back next week (I promise!!) for a lovely new post.
Cheers,
-Andrew-
